Filippos Kyrkitsos is Dr. Environmentalist with studies in Physics, Meteorology, Environment and Open & Distance Education and PhD & Post-Doc in Environmental Engineering. He is an expert in environmental issues with an emphasis on waste management and the Circular Economy. He is a founding member and President of the NGO "Ecological Recycling Society – OEA – www.ecorec.gr" and at the same time he is active as a scientific manager and trainer in environmental training programs for the unemployed and as an environmental consultant. Representing OEA and other environmental bodies, he participated in the creation of Law 2939 (1999-2001), in the EPED (Committee for Alternative Management) (2002-2008), in the National Organization for Alternative Management of Packaging and Other Products (EOEDSAP) (2008-2009) and at the current Hellenic Recycling Agency (HRA) from 2010 until 2020. From 2022 he is a member of the National Council for Awarding the Ecolabel (ESAOS). Dr. Filippos Kyrkitsos has an important scientific / environmental activity with participation in dozens of scientific programs, with publications in Greek and international scientific journals and with many announcements & speeches at conferences and workshops.
